About The Campaign
We’ve had the pleasure of being proud parents at De La Salle for ten years. As Campaign Chairs, we are asking fellow parents, graduates, and friends of De La Salle to join us in raising $6.5 million for a world-class chapel and a multi-purpose Lasallian Student Center, which will provide a place where our student athletes and Band members can train and play, and where we can showcase our Hall of Honors honorees.

Our LeadOn! campaign requires the support of everyone who value places of great spirit and the heritage that inspires them—the vibrant New Orleans mission of the founding Christian Brothers. Please prayerfully consider becoming part of the LeadOn! campaign, and accept our thanks on behalf of the students who carry on our unique legacy.

The Dr. Charles C. Mary, Jr. (’54) Band Room will support instruction, practice, and performance, which is limited by its current, cramped location. Our spirited, award-winning music troupe has tripled in size in just four years, and the room we envision would enable us to grow into a 60-piece Band for a truly outstanding program.

This Band Room will:
»  provide private, soundproofed studios where small groups can rehearse while the larger group is practicing
»  offer advanced acoustics that develop a fine ability to recognize pitch, enhance musical teamwork, and support the Band Director’s leadership
»  store instruments, which De La Salle provides as an expression of our investment in arts education
The Dr. Warren F. Caire Wrestling Room will:
»  honor our veteran teacher, who has taught at De La Salle since 1963 and served as wrestling moderator when De La Salle captured the State title three consecutive years
»  foster mental and physical discipline that enhances performance academically and in other sports
»  sustain our tradition of scholar athletes, such as Impark President and CEO Herb Anderson (’76), who won a wrestling scholarship at University of Southwest Louisiana, and State Champion Bryan Carter (’02), who is now at Harvard Law School

An enhanced physical education cardio room will:
»  enable student athletes to prepare for peak performance
»  encourage all students to develop good exercise habits for a lifetime
»  allow teammates to train in all weather conditions
New auxiliary gym areas will:
»  provide practice space for same-season sports, such as girls’ softball and boys’ baseball, ensuring that every team can excel
»  expand our capacity to welcome spectators for basketball games in the Johnny Altobello gym, the only collegiate-style court in a local high school—and the home of Coach Altobello’s 16 city championship and 8 state-title Cavalier teams
A new Hall of Honor area will:
»  celebrate our men and women who are champions on and off the field
»  introduce prospective students to our Lasallian heritage of educating well rounded young men and women
